ABOUT US

At Green Horizon Biedrība, we prioritize raising environmental awareness and educating the public on sustainability issues. To this end, we organize small-scale activities and workshops at the local level. Our main activities are:

• First of all, we started organizing voluntary clean-up activities in parks and natural areas around Riga, which are carried out in small groups in order to draw attention to environmental pollution and raise awareness of local residents about environmental protection.

• We organize simple workshops that inform local people, especially young people, about recycling and waste management. These workshops aim to help them adopt more sustainable habits in everyday life.

• To involve young people in environmental activities, we organize projects and activities where they can participate as volunteers. Volunteers take an active role in activities such as environmental cleaning, tree planting and recycling.

• We organize information seminars and group discussions on environmentally friendly lifestyles to make young people more aware of sustainable living.

• We encourage the community to get more in touch with nature by organizing small walks and nature discovery tours in natural areas around Riga. During these activities we aim to instill environmental awareness and foster a love of nature.

• We aim to develop joint projects in cooperation with local authorities and small-scale environmental organizations. In these projects, we work together on issues such as environmental cleaning, sustainability and waste management.

• Within the scope of environmental education, we cooperate with local schools and organize activities for students that instill environmentally friendly lifestyles and nature conservation awareness.
